MiniSub ROV
The MiniSub ROV, Remotely Operated Vehicle, range from MW Power Systems is supplied in cooperation with UK Pipelines Ltd. The MiniSub provides an live ‘eye underwater’ for Search and Rescue, Surveillance, Inspection or Image gathering purposes.
The MiniSub shares much of the same downlink, image record, base station operation and onward transmission technology utilised by the UAV range.
Typical applications include Hull survey, Ports Police, MCA and Search & Rescue, in fact any water to a depth of 150m and 3-5knots, where Diver safety, minimum cost and maximum search time necessitate use.
After identification of a target, its position is logged, water samples taken and the device disarmed, for instance, using the optional 2-axis Prehension ‘robotic’ arm.
